These fees are fixed for years from the date your plan is taken out.
Your package covers a funeral where the deceased is within 25km of your nominated Funeral Director's funeral home. Transport from further away is not included and would be charged separately.
Some funeral costs are provided by organisations or individuals outside your Funeral Director. Your plan includes a defined allowance towards these costs.
The allowance is included within your total plan price — it is not an additional amount on top. Individual third-party costs can change over time; they are not fixed or guaranteed.

Paying for your plan
A traditional funeral in the North East typically costs around €7,000 — but you don't need that amount today to start planning. You can start with a deposit, contribute regularly, top up when it suits you or add lump sums over time.
If you choose a 3, 5 or 10-year package, your Funeral Director's fees are fixed from the date your plan is taken out. Making a deposit or contributions on their own doesn't fix the fees — we'll explain how it works when we call.

Independent holding
The money you prepay is held by an independent trust called the My Farewell Wishes Trust, until it is needed.
My Farewell Wishes Trust is managed independently by Independent Trustee Limited, a corporate trustee company authorised by the Minister of Justice to carry on business as a Trust or Company Service Provider (TCSP) and a Trust Corporation pursuant to the Succession Act, 1965.
